I learned a lesson this week, but it’s probably not the one that some would hope for. Back in December last year I entered the Twitter fray once again (I know, I know…), with a view to staying a maximum of six months. This was partially as a means of distraction from the challenges of daily life. Mostly however, it was because 18 months had passed since I was last in this particular space, and I wanted to discern how various cultural conversations had been progressing (or not).
I started following you on Twitter a few weeks ago. (I only follow, almost never reply and never tweet.) I wanted to find some sources of good-faith, non-tribal discussion on gender identity -- not the discussion itself, as I know Twitter is not the place for that, but an introduction to thinkers whose *other* work might feed into my evolution on this issue. Hence I found your newsletter. So for me your brief time on Twitter was welcome!
